Sewer Line Camera Inspection

Commercial Sewer Camera Inspection

A visual inspection cannot see underground. A sewer camera can. We run a camera through the building's sewer line and show you what is going on inside the pipe before it becomes an emergency.

What it is

A Look Inside The Pipe

In Plain Language

We feed a waterproof camera on a flexible cable into the sewer line, usually through a cleanout, and watch the pipe as the camera moves through it. We record the run and report what we see: breaks, cracks, roots, sagging sections, buildup and blockages.

Repairs to underground pipe can be among the most expensive surprises in a commercial building. The camera shows you the condition before you take on that cost.

Who asks for it

Who Asks For A Sewer Camera Inspection

Buyers of older buildings

Older lines are more likely to have cracked, shifted or root-damaged pipe.

Restaurant owners and buyers

Kitchens put grease into the line, and buildup can cause repeated backups.

Owners with repeated backups

If the line keeps clogging, the camera shows why.

Lenders and investors

Add it to a Level 3 PCA to cover what a visual inspection cannot reach.

Landlords and property managers

Document the condition of the line before a tenant change or a big repair.

Buyers of mixed-use buildings

Shops and apartments often share one line, so a problem affects everyone.

What we look for

What The Camera Shows

Cracked or broken pipe
Roots growing into the line
Sagging sections where water collects
Joints that have shifted or separated
Grease and debris buildup
Blockages
Pipe material and condition
Signs of past repairs

We explain what we saw in plain language, show you the important findings, and tell you whether they call for further evaluation by a plumber or a contractor.

The honest limits

What It Does Not Include

The camera can only see what it can reach. Access to the line is the first requirement.

  • We need a cleanout or another opening to put the camera in.
  • A severe blockage can stop the camera, and we cannot see beyond it.
  • It is not a cleaning or a repair.
  • It does not cover lines that are not accessible.

Common questions

Sewer Camera Questions

Can you add it to a building inspection?

Yes. It can be added to any level, so one visit covers the building and the line.

How long does it take?

It depends on the length of the line and how easy it is to reach. We will tell you what to expect on your call.

Do I need to be there?

No, but you are welcome to watch. We can show you the live view.

What happens if you find a problem?

We explain what we saw and what it may mean. If it needs repair, a licensed plumber or contractor evaluates and prices the work.
