About Four Corners
I am Grant Doutt, owner of Four Corners Inspection Services and a Certified Master Inspector. When you hire us for a commercial building, I am on the inspection myself, and I am your point of contact from the first call to the final report.
My background
Before I was an inspector, I spent thirty years in commercial operations management, running large retail stores and the buildings they sit in. I dealt with the roofs that leaked, the air conditioning that failed in July, the parking lots, the panels and the fire inspections. I know what these buildings cost to keep up, because I was the one responsible for them.
I also have a hands-on framing background, so I understand how a building goes together, not just how it looks.
How Four Corners started
I started Four Corners in 2019 and built it while still working a full-time job. In early 2021 I made inspections my full-time work, because clients deserve someone who can answer the phone. We are based in Clermont, Florida, and we travel to where the work is.
Commercial inspection is a natural next step. It puts my years of running commercial buildings to work for buyers, owners and tenants.
Qualifications
Our commercial inspections are performed in accordance with the CCPIA International Standards of Practice for Inspecting Commercial Properties. Property Condition Assessments follow ASTM E2018-24. See our inspection levels. See the buildings we inspect and what is in each report.
How we work
You deal with the owner from the first call to the final report. You are not handed off to whoever is available.
You see the scope and the price in a written proposal before anything is scheduled. No surprises on the day.
Findings are explained in plain language and tied to the decision you are making, whether that is a purchase, a lease or a budget.
We focus on small and mid-size commercial buildings, where we can give the whole building full attention. We are a small, owner-led firm, so you always know who to call and who is accountable for the work.
